Wihlborgs purchases Knutpunkten in Helsingborg

Wihlborgs has agreed with Nordic Land the purchase of Terminalen 1 (Knutpunkten) in central Helsingborg for SEK 490 million. The acquisition will take place in company form. The property contains 18,500 mof offices, travel centre, shops and restaurants. Major tenants include Scandlines, Svenska Reseterminaler and McDonalds. 740 parking spaces are included in the property. Wihlborgs already owns 22,500 min the same block. Further to the acquisition, Wihlborgs will own four of a total of five properties within Terminalen: Terminalen 1, 2, 4 and 5.

Wihlborgs will take possession of the property on 13 October 2010.

"Through this acquisition, we show that we will continue to take long-term responsibility in Helsingborg, simultaneously as we further improve our market position," says Anders Jarl, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter AB.

"Knutpunkten is centrally significant for the planned city renewal project H+," continues Anders Jarl.

"The property requires considerable refurbishment and continuity in management. We believe that it will be a complicated project, which our own established management team in Helsingborg will take good care of. We will ultimately obtain a return of 7 per cent," concludes Anders Jarl.

The Board of Nordic Land has unanimously approved the transaction but it is subject to the shareholders approval.
