Wihlborgs buys Östersjön 1
Trough a company transaction Wihlborgs has acquired the property Östersjön 1, situated at Carlsgatan in Malmö, for SEK 240,8 million. The property was constructed in 2001 and contains 8,300 m2 of modern office premises. It will be taken into possession during the first quarter 2013.
”The acquisition is in line with our strategy to strengthen our position as the leading property owner in Malmö’s prime office location”, says Anders Jarl, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter AB. “The building is located in the vicinity of a number of our properties in the area, where Slagthuset is the largest.”
“Tenants are Tieto Enator and Geab The Phone House and we take this opportunity to greet them welcome to Wihlborgs”, continues Anders.
“Currently the vacancy comprises 700 m2 offices, and we are looking forward to fill these with new tenants. Across the street are the Central Station and the City Tunnel with excellent access to public transport. There is also a junction with bus routes and a large car park”, concludes Anders Jarl. “Fully occupied we expect a net yield of 6.5 per cent.”
