Wihlborgs renovating the Ruuth 23 property in central Helsingborg

The property on Bruksgatan, central Helsingborg, is being renovated for leasing to AcadeMedia.

In 2010, Wihlborgs acquired the Ruuth 23 property on this pedestrian street in Helsingborg, as a development project. The property, a former warehouse, consists of a building facing the street and a courtyard building.

The courtyard building, measuring 2,740 m2 in area, has been let to AcadeMedia for upper secondary education on an 8-year lease. The annual rent totals SEK 5.6 million. The tenant will take up occupation in time for the school’s autumn term in 2014.

Work has now started on a total internal and external renovation to make the courtyard building into an attractive and modern school. The investment is estimated at SEK 45 million.

“AcadeMedia, Sweden’s biggest private educational provider, is now continuing its expansion in Helsingborg”, says Anders Jarl, CEO, Wihlborgs Fastigheter AB. “It already operates four schools in our properties, three in Helsingborg and one in Malmö. We appreciate their confidence in again choosing us as landlord”.
