Wihlborgs signs leases in Malmö — demand for office space remains strong
Wihlborgs has now leased a further 1,200 m² in the Dungen office building to Swedish Customs, in addition to the 6,300 m² let by the agency back in 2017. In the same property, a contract has now been signed for 400 m² with a dermatology clinic and together with the 900 m² let to Ferrero Scandinavia, the property is now fully let. Occupancy will begin on 1 April 2019.
In central Malmö, Wihlborgs has signed an agreement with Region Skåne for 1,600 m2for a youth health care centre in the Erik Menved 37 property on Kattsundsgatan. At Väktaren 3 (Scandinavian Center) near Malmö central, the tenant VA Syd is expanding its premises with the addition of 700 m² to the 4,000 m² it has let since 2016, and at S:t Jörgen 21 (Baltzar City) an agreement was recently signed with a new tenant for office premises of 800 m².
“We have noted continued healthy demand for office space in Malmö, particularly in central areas and locations close to transport links. Our vacancies are at historically low levels for office space in Malmö and we have a confident view of 2019. We must now continue to develop new office premises in attractive locations to meet this demand,” says Ulrika Hallengren, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter.
